I just started Weight Watchers on Saturday; so, of course with dieting I'm hungry and craving just about everything!!!

One food that is pretty much a local item is the ponza rotta.

Imagine a dough similar to frybread dough, stuffed with any kind of pizza topping: sauce, cheese, sausage, onions, (all of the above, LOL!), folded over like a calzone, but then deep fried in oil until golden and the cheese runs out when you bite into it.

It's not on Weight Watchers point list, but I wouldn't be suprised if it used a day's worth of points plus a week's worth of bonus points, too.

Now I'M getting hungry!
