Yeah, that's basically what it is. It turns out really good if you bake it in the oven.

Place the bacon on a baking sheet (or on a rack on the sheet to cook out of the grease), sprinkle it with a generous coating of brown sugar and bake about 20 - 30 minutes depending on the thickness/fat content of the bacon.

It turns out nice and crispy, and the sugar gets nice and crunchy. A little pepper on top is the BOMB!!

We have a storm rolling in. The temp has dropped, so it's chicken tortilla soup time!
