No real ritual anymore. When the kid was little and in school, I would get up about an hour earlier than everybody else, fix the coffee and slowly sip it and arrive into the world. Now I drink coffee just about any time of day. When I first started doing desk clerk work, I learned to drink it at any temperature, especially on first shift. I was working in a 500 room Holiday Inn in Daytona and checking out a pile of people only leaves you with time to grab a sip of coffee here and there. Didn't have time to keep getting a hot cup of coffee. In the summer, I love iced coffee with amaretto creamer.
