Caffeine please. I'm on interminable hold with Kingsley North. I've listened to the recording of their line card five times. I'm going to lose consciousness if I have to sit through it again. Who have guessed
a lapidary supply shop in MN would be so busy on a Sat morning, LOL.

Also, something in a yummy treat. I need some culinary inspiration. Or maybe just a more satisfying breakfast. I'm spending this rainy morning designing a necklace for someone who recently shared a gift with me. I want to make something special but I'm kind of hung up. I want to incorporate a gem stone, and I have a good place in the overall design, but I have two stumbling blocks.

One, I don't have just the right stone. I may have to cut something. My cutting skills are OK for inlay but my cabs are just adequate. I need something round, high dome, 8-10mm dia, and red or blue. I've got a bunch of nice Kingman slabs, lapis, and some very very nice cuprite...

Two, I'd have to have shadow box the setting for it to look right. I need to grind down and polish a stone pusher to get in there to secure the bezel. I don't have access to a suitable grinder anymore :(

It may be moot. Today's rain may turn the path into an impassible mud flat. Me and my tools may become stuck in the quagmire it we try to work tomorrow.
