Alamosaurus sanjuanensis. (Yes, there really was such an animal--but it has been extinct 65,000,000 years. It was the
last surviving member of the brontosaur family (apatosaurus
(=brontosaurus), diplodocus, barosaurus, camarasaurus,
brachiosaurus, haplocanthosaurus, pleurocoelus...) in North
America, and lived at the very end of the age of dinosaurs.
It was about average size--for a brontosaur; 70' long, 14' high
at the shoulder, 30 tons, brain about the size of a hen's egg,
30 tons...)
