The hypocrisy has landed
PWB49: That's a thought provoking point about Kiowas performing non-Kiowa dances.
It also runs directly counter to Monie's post under Straight Dancing/Resources, where she stated to someone interested in learning about Straight Dance: "Go visit the people who are the caretakers of that dance, since the Cherokee never were straight dancers."
It seems that appropropriating another tribe's culture is OK, so long as it's not Kiowa.
