Question Arlee 2006

What people on this years committee were rude?? Maybe they were rude because the dancers were rude to them!! I know an elder lady that was really rude because she "wanted the #1000 and the title of first place winner in golden age again." When she was told no she told the committee chairman she wasnt comin back next year. And when asked to rise for the golden age category, this 1 drum group was gettin mouthy with 1 of the elders because they did not want to stand. Correct me if im wrong but isnt that being disrespectful to the elders?? THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG NOWDAYS, people dont have respect for each other. They dont have respect for the ways the host tribe runs things. Everyones only worried about money money money. Whatever happened to going to a pow wow to visit old friends, make new friends, see family and friends you havent seen in a long time. What happened to the thought of dancing just for fun and using dance as a form of prayer praying for yourself and others?
