Well, this is Dec 1st and the first day of my busiest month of the year. Not for work or getting ready for a pow wow or anything like that, but busy with my kids and spending some major quality time with them baking and getting ready for Christmas.

For many years I've been a Mentor for a couple of youth programs for a couple of Center's here. One of the youth programs shut down a few years back and the other program ended just a few months ago.
I loved what I did and looked forward to it every week. I really liked being with the kids and helping them with homework and anything else that they might have needed. We would take trips with the kids or go to Pow Wow's and we would all camp out. That was so much fun. I usually...

This dance recital was the most awesome that they've ever had. The girls looked great and danced even better.
The dance troop did a skit on Tony Orlando and Dawn doing "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" and it was so funny. This short woman played Toni Orlando and two taller women came out as Dawn. The woman playing Toni had a fake moustache on and it was loose and she kept trying to keep it on, half way through the performance, she just ripped it off--we all died laughing.

Many people here know that I am very close to two of my nieces and one of my nephews.
Well the two girls have been taking dance classes for about 10-11 years now through a professional dance studio. They are both very good and I have attended every dance recital that they have ever been in and I have taken them to many of their classes and have even done the backstage mother thing for the last several years.
