I messed up at the end. Tee hee heee!

Posted 12-17-2009 at 08:23 PM by ugidali
I just got back from practicing for the recital on Saturday. Everything went ok. I was the second student there so me and another girl went first. We actually got to sing two times before anyone else showed up! Yippie!
But it won't be that way on saturday. It wasn't very many people there tonight at the practice as it's time for finals, other plays and such going on. But my mouth is sore so I can't be out in the cold much. The pain doesn't affect my voice so that good!...

So! Just found out that I'm the only one that will be performing a piece in a foreign language next week. Now all these people and other students are looking up to me to sing well. I can't let them down. I'm already feeling the pressure! I don't want to disappoint my family and friends. I'll do my best.

Unfair Judging

Posted 12-04-2009 at 05:20 PM by ugidali
You ever been to a powwow where all the judges pick their friends and family members. No matter how bad they dance? That burns me up. It's not fair. I was at a powwow in the fancy shawl division and this one girl was just just walking! Not dancing at all. She even stopped and spoke with one of the drummers. And guess what? She won first place. She was the only one out there that did not dance.

Christmas Theme

Posted 11-30-2009 at 04:20 PM by ugidali
I have been working very hard for tomorrow's Christmas theme cake. It has to be a three tiered cake. Baby shower, wedding, birthday, or sculpted cake. Decorations can be made ahead of time. I've made Ponsettias to go on the top tier.

I used the color flow to make it. And I'm using some gold and red colored ribbon to go around the edges of the cakes. I think it's going to look awesome. And taste great too. Still have a few more things to prep.

We Walk in Two Worlds

Posted 03-24-2009 at 06:24 PM by ugidali
I'm excited. We were invited to a reception for the Osage, Caddo, and Quapaw indian tribes.
It's called "The Return." Arkansas' first people come from Oklahoma for a special ceremony celebrating the opening of a new exhibit at the Historic Museum. It is by invitation only and it's a great honor to be invited. It is open to the public starting on March 28th 2009.
