Cal State Long Beach PowWow March 12-13
Cal State Long Beach American Indian Student Council would like to invite all of you to our upcoming 35th Annual PowWow March 12th and 13th, 2005.
*we're aware of the calendar on this site, but we are attempting to dispell a rumor that our powwow was cancelled* HEAD STAFF M.C.: Roy Track (Assiniboine/Sioux) A.D.: Jim RedEagle Host Northern Drum: Rocky Park Singers (Winslow, AZ) Head Southern Singer: David Sage (Arapaho) Head Man Dancer: Apesanahkwat (Menominee) Head Lady Dancer: Devon Perez (Oto/Missouri) Gourd Dance Hosted by: Golden State Gourd Society Hospitality Coordinator: Michael Cruz (Chumash) All dancers and drums welcomed! Dancers, registration closes at 2:00pm, Saturday the 12th, hand drum contest Sunday evening. Public is welcomed. We strongly recommend spectators to bring folding chairs. Canopies are welcome, but sidewalls are prohibited. This event is free. Parking is readily available at no charge, and the campus is handicapped accessible. Not responsible for theft, loss, accident, injury or personal expenses. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs allowed. With respect to our elders, no pets allowed.
