Journey of 20 years
Host Drum: Kitpu Singers from Eskasoni First Nation

Grand Entry starts FRIDAY at 5 PM
All DRUMS AND DANCERS ARE WELCOMED
Honorariums (day money) will be available
Drum Competition (1st Prize: 1000)
Minimum of 6 drummers to compete, must be present for registration and roll call, no drum hopping, or you will be unable to compete or disqualified.
There will be dance special competitions for Jingle, Fancy Shawl and Grass Dance in both Youth and Adult categories. Prizes TBA.
Vendors are Welcomed
Elsipogtog Powwow Committee reserves the right to monopolize pop

Guidelines (Rules)

1.Absolutely no Drugs or Alcohol permitted on the Pow wow grounds. Intoxicated individuals will be asked to leave to the grounds: if they refuse then the proper authorizes will be called to assist.

2.Respect the authority of our hired security who will be working along side with the RCMP

3.Parking for public is designated on the lower ball field of the track and field; only Pow wow staff, vendors, Drummers, Dancers, and the elderly will be permitted to park on the upper field. To gain access to the upper field you must have a parking pass, it is required.

4.Vandalism or destruction of property will not be tolerated; charges will be laid in anyone caught causing damage to either Pow wow committee or vendors properties.

5.Listen and follow the directions from the M.C (Master of Ceremonies)

6.The Pow wow Committee Staff are not responsible for any injuries that may occur. We are also not liable for lost or stolen items e.g. (wallets, money, clothes, tents)

7.Violence will not be tolerated; the RCMP will be notified of any violence or harassment.

8.The Powwow committee is not responsible for care of unsupervised children. Please take care of your Children and do not leave your children at the powwow grounds without an adult.

9.Please respect the individuals regalia. If curious about the regalia, please ask for permission if you wish to take pictures or touch it.

10.No pictures are allowed to be taken during the grand entry, honor songs, and ceremonies such as talking circles.

11.No loitering on the powwow grounds

12.In regards to feast, the order is as such:
Elders, Drummers, Dancers, and Community
13. Curfew is set for the powwow Grounds to respect our guests (campers)

14. 10pm Children under the age of 16 will be asked to return home

These rules are in place to protect our community members and visiting guest from other nations, and to make this a successful cultural event we can be proud of.

8:30-11 Pm Pow Wow Big Bingo
9-11 Pm Karaoke (Mike Doucette)
11:30 Pm Grounds Close (campers)

Saturday September 02
6 Am Sunrise Ceremony
11:30 Am-12:30 Pm Registration
1 Pm Grand Entry
4 Pm Sweat (Joe John Sanipass)
5 Pm Feast
7 Pm Retiring of the flags
7-9 Pm Merchandise Bingo
9 pm Karaoke
7-9 Pm Drumming
11:30 Pm Grounds Close (Campers)

Sunday September 03
6 Am Sunrise Ceremony
11 Am- 12:30 Pm Registration
12 Pm Grand Entry
2:30 Pm Feast
