Yah this powwow looks like is madly happening. OUr drum group meet up with some people in New Hampshire the other weekend and they said this powwow was jamming. We might be checkin it out. Does anybody know how this powwow was last year?

not a goot one, hotels expensive, traffic awful, 1 lady head judge in dance and drum contest, 1 lady judge + freinds= winners, no spirit

i wanna go! hopefully if pops we can make it up to pops then we'll be there (gotta consider father's day!)

went last year and the pw was good - great weather! lots of good dancers, this was my first time attending this powwow and i was surprised that there was such a good turnout. it's fairly good sized... lots of folks traveled to this one, many new dancers & singers. i had a very good time there and definitely plan on returning this year! (and they fed the dancers)!
traffic wasn't bad when we traveled up there (fri. night) and it only took us about 15-20 mins. max to travel from the host hotel to the powwow each day.
i'm gonna be straight up though - the host hotel is shady! it's expensive (but no matter where you stay, it will be) and there's all kindsa STRANGE wanderers, but that's bklyn for ya! i don't believe there are any other hotels within the area - you don't wanna get too far out cause then traffic will def be a problem... but EVERYONE from the pw stayed in that hotel... so it's really up to you. i'm not sure if there are camping facilities... taani, do you know? do you suggest any other hotels?
anyways... we plan on beein' there... bux and i!

Unfortunately, The Golden Gate Motel is the only motel/hotel close by. Yes it is a bit shady and expensive for that kind of place but that's NYC for ya! sorry. I gotta check on the camping, if there is or isn't.

Who all is heading to Brooklyn for this pow-wow?? Have been a few times...always good - as me and Takin' Numbers were talking about over the weekend - we had more fun at this pow-wow....man - the stories......

FYI - Unfortunately, there are no shower facilities for camping, but you can camp.

Just rezerved my room at that shady a$$ Golden Gate. Gonna take Bux advice and bring my own blankets haha!

Me and two of my Northen girls will be dropping in. Bushy, Bux I (Lynn too) can't wait to see you girls!

And I can vouch for Taani too - she threw me outta the trailor two powwows ago when she was tabulating. She's by the books!
