my great great grandparents
my great great grandparents Nancy Sloan and Wiliam Henry Sloan mother and father of Mary Eva Inman Jones born 1899 is my guess in Feb she was part Cherokee Indian.

lol you guys are funny!
Going back that far, last names were usually traditional names (usually nature related either in the native tongue or translated into English ie: Crying Sun Blackbear). The names you presented are all Caucasian. My suggestion is, if you are trying to research your ancestry, speak to the older people in your family, go with any info they may give and start doing research. Here in Canada we have what we call the Library and Archives Canada which has all kept documents dating back to pre-Canada. There should be something similar in the USA. Good luck! |
