Super glue;
Very, very sharp small scissors;
Tweezers;
Thread;
Exacto knife with a fresh blade;
No cats :)

Besides florettes, Lady Amherst and Reeves pheasant feathers -- particularly neck and head feathers are nice. Ermine fro trim at the base is old school, but I like how it looks. Fur on deer hide from select parts of the deer, can be used. You'll need to trim it. It gives a stiffer, less glossy look.

You cut with small, sharp scissors. Some designs are layered together on a substrate before being attached to a fan.
windanncer and subeeds like this.
