Alright! I don't use a pattern, i just follow the T-Dress then modify the sleeves to the "modern" style. on the top of the ribbons where you place the jingles, whip stitch it (google). and on the bottom, place the jingle with the ribbon in it and whip stitch sew it tightly several times so it doesnt fly off. for applique, it takes a really long time but if you want to handsew applique get a patchwork book from the library because there is more info there than i can think of atm.

Oh, i forgot. The fancy dress, I use plastic tablecloth for my fringe and backstitch it on. For the dress, i modify a T-Dress or use a T-dress the old way. Everything backstitch for reinforcement

The easiest way to make a dress is find one of your own long sleeve dresses that fits you. Turn it inside out and use it as a pattern to cut out material. If you are putting on designs, add them to the outside before you sew it together. Hand sew it and leave a half inch to inch around the sides for growth. When your finished turn it back outside in!
