Shirts, Vest or Both???

The shirt length topic brought up a thought about vest with or without a shirt.

I still wear a shirt with my vests.

I think it is a matter of ratio of belly to muscle. If you are rockin' a serious frybread belly I think most folks would appreciate you keepin' a shirt on under your vest.

On the other hand if you are 25 and kickin' those six-pack 'I just got outta the Marines' abs then more power to ya.

Seeing sweaty skin next to some nice wool tradecloth just makes me start to itch all over. I'd say wear a shirt, with or without a vest.

I think it depends on the weather. A Vest by itself is a lot cooler in July, but a vest on top of a shirt is a lot warmer in February. Jus' sayin'. :->

When I wear just my vest, I usually wear a t'shirt under it. This is simply to help soak up as much of the sweat as I can. It is easier to wash the t's than to clean the vest.
