any new projects?

Hi everyone, So what projects are you all working on? I am working on another pair of mocassins. Fully beaded of course. I am donating them to our new years powwow. Boy, I sure do hope they like them.

Right now I'm working on a new set for my daughter...finished edge beading two hairties and a scarf slide last night. So those are finished. Now, its the back barrette, leggings and mocs to start this week. Beading them in 14/0 hex beads.

I just finished one barrette and once I'm done with the edging on this other, then it will have been two barrettes LOL

I just started my first piece of odd count flat peyote stitch last night - I really like the technique now that I have an inch and a half or so done. I'm using Delica 11's.

(If anyone could answer my waterbird question in my other post I'd be grateful!)

Singerdad...14 hex?....wow...we'd love to see that!

Mezzobean...I don't think waterbird designs are restricted to only NAC use...but not totally sure 'bout that?????

I'm working on a commissioned tribal crown:

Thank you, walela49 . . . I have gotten some insight from a couple people privately about the use of the waterbird design, too. I asked because I do not want to cause offense or show disrespect to ANYONE. Perhaps the most insightful advice was simply not to bead any design that does not have special meaning to either me personally or the person for whom the piece is intended - that is to say, even though I'm a pretty new beader, don't just copy a design in a book 'cause the author thinks it's cool and provides a graph!

Your crown looks so beautiful - I enjoy seeing the work all you really experienced beaders do - it is an inspiration . . .

I love those mocassins beading4ndnz. They are just beautiful. How long did it take you to make them? And Walela49 you've got some beautiful stuff too. Well I would'nt even try to compete against you. My mocs are really basic. But now I'm embarassed to even put them up. I need to keep on practicing.

i just finished my first legging for my first fully beaded fancy shawl set...really happy with how it turned out. So now it's on to number 2, with only the choker, vest and cape left....finished all the hair pieces over the summer.
