New for 2012: double-hole seed beads

One of my bead sources has announced they will start carrying Ornela Preciosa Czech seed beads with two holes! The beads measure 2.5 x 5 mm so they are kind of oval shaped. I am wondering if these beads will find a place in Native American art or if they will remain a novelty item. Seems like they would be quite useful for off-loom woven methods of beadwork but that might be the extent of it.

If any of you try these new beads, let me know what you think!

I wonder how they would look if used for a ladder stitch for an edging trim?

So do they have 2 parallel holes or are the holes perpendicular?

They seem kind of big to be called seed beads. I wonder if there's any pics out there.

From the pic (thanks Joe's Dad) I don't know if I'd call em "seed beads" either, but they look fun and I'm intrigued! Two-hole beads seem to be the trend right now, I saw some cool projects done with flat, two-hole, tile beads too! Can't wait to play with some.

Glad you guys can get the two hole beads in the US. We're in a barren waste land of trendy beads up here...been trying to get a hold of two hole Tila beads and can't locate a source up here...

Thanks for that.

You can post links, pics, vids or whatnot.. just not a link in your signature that advertises a biz.

Tila beads look pretty cool. I just haven't gotten around to getting any yet. Yaahl, if you have never ordered from Artbeads before, I will vouch for them 1000%. They are great and so is their customer service.
