Thanks for help.
Honestly I like to look at the bells I am buying before I pay for them, so I only buy from vendors at pow wows. I have done mail order before and gotten burned with bells that were crappy. Most often the eye that holds the clapper on would be pretty thin and break off after only a couple of months of dancing. So when I buy new ones I especially check that.

But since you are looking for bells, there is crazycrow.com and also nocbay.com. Go for it.

It will cover my shoulder feathers probably just as thick so thanks for the tip Ill b useing it alot
Visers look good with out ribbon. Sholder wings I'd put ribbon on but not the viser.

Can anyone tell me, do people make bustles using 4 colors Saddle hackles?I want to make a new set of bustles but want to use two colors of hackles on tip or top of feather and two colors of hackles where you normally use the fluff, towards the bottom. Will the tip or end of the feather hold or support 3 colors of hackles, (if I trim off the weaker end of the feather). Or should I just go two at tip and two at bottom. Thanks for any help anyone can give me, steve

If you're still in the planning stages, you have options. Cementing a skewer to the full length of the back of the feather would add a significant amount of strength and support should you wish to apply two and/or three hackles; if your feather has enough strength (without cementing a skewer) toward the tip, take the additional step by using E6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive and allow 24 hours to cure in temperatures at or above 70 degrees (not easily done in the winter).

And lets see some pictures of the completed project.
