Oh dang I hate powwows where there are a ton of people off step!! I just try not to look at anyone!! LOL
I would love to see the Laverne and Shirley at a powwow!! hehehe

I started working out again this morning. Got off my schedule over the spring break. Thought' I'd practice to Young Bird. Was on every time but once. Tried the one tap and still was off! Dangit!!!!! What does help me which I didn't do two weeks ago is the minute they start singing I lightly dance in place. That way when the singers answer the lead singer I'm already on beat. Oh and I do start with my left foot. Still it was a great work out because I did break a sweat and practiced too.

Well it's good to know I'am not the only one. I usually find someone ahead of me to get back on step.

*L* Bay-Gawww... Thought I Was The Only One... Well I Dunno Personally I've Been To Quite A Few Northern Powwows Where They Don't Give A Hoot About Steppin On Beat, Jus Kinda Get Out There And Go For It... However, On A Certain Few Songs Southern Drums Are NOTORIOUS For Speeding Up That Pickup Beat And Sometimes The Honor Beat So Its Easy To Get Bucked Off Here And Derre.... All I Usually Do Is Listen Carefully, Step, And Right Before You Pick Up Your Other Foot To Step Just Do A Slooooow Down Step And Come Up On Time!
*L* Sltate I LOVE Singin Mia's Song! *hehehe* Separates The Women From Da Gurls *jks!*

I was told that you follow the head lady dancer. Dunno if this is right or not. Course you have to hope that "SHE" is on step. LOL

If I get off beat I usually just pause and then pick it back up again. I agree with the left foot start it has helped me get back on beat every time.
