Off the top of my head, I'd say Birdtown Crossing and Cypress Creek! These two groups have the chance to really make a splash in the pow wow world. Birdtown Crossing practices every Monday night when we play soccer so it's cool to hear them sing while running up and down the field. It's like then

Red Earth is a new drum I heard at Durham that I was impressed with. I've heard Waterbird at two pow wows and they have a decent sound...add a few more guys, practice them up, and you'll be on your way.

But, right now it'd have to be BC and CC!!

I agree with you Singerdad. Birdtown Crossing sounds great. John John is a great singer with some killer leads.

I'd have to throw in Stoney Creek also. Those guys are sounding good!

Two great northern drums there.

Kau-Tah-Noh Jrs., Southern Suns and Stoney Creek can definitely hold there own at any Big Time Powwow.

There was a time that Joe Liles sang with Southern Sun. Just wondering if he still sings with them.

Joe is still singing with Southern Sun. They have gone through a couple of waves of singers with guys graudating from school, moving away, etc., but Joe has been right there as the backbone of the group and should get alot of credit for how they have developed and improved in the last couple of years. Very proud of those guys.

I agree with bwhite and WhoMe. I didn't put Stoney Creek in there because I guess I feel they're not up and coming, but have already made it so to speak. Good singers - always a pleasure to dance to their songs!!

Yes, Waterbird has a good sound. It's a good start for a group. Just stay humble, practice, practice, practice, and keep learning from those old guys.

I couldn't have said it any better Dad!...Becoming a humble person is tough lesson alone....but to remain humble is equally challenging if not more so. Believe me....I had to learn it the hard way.

Cool

i've heard birdtown crossing and the only thing they have going for them is their head singer. He's got the voice but alot of times his crew fades out. Just my opinion. Great bunch of guys. Other than that I'm not impressed with any groups out here in the S.E!
