Mine is also coming from pwb49. There' a funny story behind it. It's a 20" with 4 colors, hair in and out. Price is ndnreasonable!!!

John Paul makes some fine roaches, though I have had to repair one of his roaches cause the guy that bought it didn't like the way it laid. It was constructed very well, but the guy paid a mint for it too.

I like Streets roaches as well, he does some very good work..

I am not as big a fan of Camille's roaches or those made by D. Clayton, but they or acceptable

I wouldn't own one made by P. Daniels. I have repaired more of his roaches than anyone else's.

Now I can't speak to what it is like to do business with any of these people since I don't buy roaches (I just make them).

If you would like I will send you a price list I just need you to PM or email me your email address so I can send you a price list so you can get a better idea how much I sell them for. I have to do it this way cause I can't send the attached file (price list) through the services provided by the board.

Julien Treaudau(-bun) made some really great roaches when he was still alive ... I mention it because there a quite a lot of them out there and people try to sell me them fairly frequently.

Heh - wouldn't it be a kick if roaches went up in price like other art when the artists passes on. Maybe you should start signing and numbering your work PW Bum !

Street's are nice if u wanna wait 4 like about FIVE YEARS!!

Paul Daniel's.......reasonably priced, but I know what you mean---- he doesn't sort the hair and the hair doesn't stand up right.

What I like about John Paul's.........hair stands upright, hair's usually matched, sorted, thick and dark!

Great to see you back, FF!

From what I have heard John Paul goes around to the different furriers and hand pics his guard hair (paying out the nose for it...I might add). When I tore apart the one I was ask to repair he only had 2 normal rows of porky hair in it...the other 2 rows were all black hair that was shorter than the rest and just acts to thicken up the look. Dang his bundles were huge... they seem to be tight but I am leary about really big bundles cause they can get loose and lose hair over time...in my experience. The one I fixed was a 20" white in & out with 9 1/2" front hair and 2 extra rows of shorter black hair. It cost the guy $1500.00.

Now with that said...the quality of his work and the look of the roaches is definitely top notch!

My hubby has 2 or 3 by Camille and they are awesome! He also has a ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Blonde one by Powwowbum that is envied by alot of dancers. He prides on that one so much it's written in his will! But yeah, Bum makes some of the purdiest roaches!!

SWEEEEEET Roach Dude!

spottedeagle 10-22-2005 12:23 PM

I have seen bum's work first hand and he is in my opinion the best. It's the amount of respect and pride he puts into his work. He's not cutting corners to throw them together to get them out the door. He spends the time it takes to do it right the first time.

southern_xtreme2k5 10-23-2005 08:32 PM

i 2nd that
