Ok little crafters an beaders .. I went on a shopping quest . An these are some great things I found .
1) Button Hole spacer ..its great for marking corners for beading an spacing.( Joanns) 2) Peel n Stick great for holding down appliq pieces till you get them where you want them or adding a bunch of beads at one time or if you want to string an line ( like peyote stitch look alike) its great for wrapping that little joker around an around.(Joanns) 3) Home Decor Stencils ( for those of us that dont draw well) found several great Native Stencils turtles, bears , diamonds , an geo shapes . ( this is found in the stencil wall paint section at hobby lobby or wally world) 4) Then I found in the cross stitch section of Hobby Lobby Dritz 1 1/4 beading needles perfect for size 13 an 11 beading an strong too. ( also Joanns has them) Last but not least in the cross stitch section found hole scaler the cross stitch hole counter ...it works great for seed beads too , for laying out a pattern an seeing how many beads it takes for that area its felxable an easy to read. Just wanted to share these productts that I never thought of using for beading before today. |

Alright (looks around) (whispers) I'll let you in on a little secret. The greatest thing since fry bread, (looks around) to sew buckskin or any other type of leather is called a speedy stitcher. Cabela's has them in their catalogs in the tent section. Suppose to be used to sew heavy canvas tents. Man this thing you nice looking, strong as hell stitches. It comes with a couple needles and some simulated sinew and you can also get it with like 300 yards of simulated sinew, which is how I ordered mine. I paid like $15 or $20 for mine. After sewing a couple sets of aprons and leggings. I'd have spent $50 for it. And it's easy to use!!!!!!!!;)
(looks around) (don't be letting the word get out or we'll all be in trouble);)

the black elk up here sells them.. I believe for around 20.00 ...maybe less. Most folks that buy them are repairing saddles and such.
