Straight Feather Repair

Hello, I have gotten a straight feather which has a little nick on the vane webbing and I'm wondering if anyone has any tricks to fixing this, like reattaching some webbing from another feather onto the damaged? I just don't want to waste it, thanks.

I have seen our conservation department repair feathers that have holes in the webbing from bugs that feed on feathers. The use some type of cloth screening that they cut to size then paint to blend in with the webbing. You can't tell the feather has been repaired unless you look close!

Oh I have some of those kinds, this one had a "stress" thinning and through wear the stressed part just fell off.
I'll go back and look at it so I can fix the others at least. Thank you so much!!
