Unhappy New outfit...HELP!

Ok, I am working on a new outfit...my first thing is about the what I call "new style" of yokes and vests that I have seen recently. I have noticed that instead of vest type fronts some are opting for fully beaded fronts and yokes on the back, the fronts just look like big rectangles that have been beaded and have ties on them to go around the waist, there are no shapes to them like a vest front would have...what are anyones thoughts on this, or should I just go for the vest thing and bead it....
Ok, second...I found a really really good deal at a shop...bridal satin for 99 cents a yard...so I got it in the colors that I need. It is a heavy satin, do you think that it will be too heavy to make the skirt out of and to make a double sided shawl out of?
p.s. if anyone lives in the Ohio area I would be more then happy to tell ya where the shop is...its a huge wholesale warehouse in the middle of no where and the most expensive material there is 1.35 a yard, and the cheapest cotton/polys are about 25 cents a yard...any type of material also....I think I have given up on wal-mart materials all together now..lol..and since I am give out deals...a good bead supplier that I use here is Peyeshae (sp) I only pay 1.80 a hank for beads...she's the bead lady for me..lol...thanks everyone!

hi, don't mean to butt in here, i know hottie and she forgot to mention that the store is Amish owned, so i kind of doubt that they will be on the internet. oh, it's spelled 'Zinck's' by the way.
