warm up tips

Hello everybody,
I want to start dancing, I have no one around to teach me, so I`m prepared for a long way and possible "it`s never going to happen". Anyway what kind of warm ups do you do before you start dancing? Some exercise for the legs/calfs would be nice. Thank you in advance.

I do a lot of stretching, jogging, jumping rope, and even some yoga to get nice and loosened up. Sometimes I also walk on my toes for a while to get used to the feeling and work my calves.

Stretching your whole body is crucial and the most important thing before dancing because it can be very strenuous on your body.
And jogging in place for a minute and/or bum kicks I like to do before hand as well. Other then that just make sure you're in shape
