Left or Right Side - Northern Traditional

I dance women's northern traditional and recently purchased a new belt with a dragger.
I need to place the dragger onto the belt...does the dragger go on the left or right, or is this a dancers preference?

Usally it is tirbal preference, you might want to ask the women of your tirbe what they do. I hope this helps you out some. Have a great day.

Wulie and welcome too pws.com

rez,

In modern times different tribes do place it in a certain spot around the waist. In most cases the dragger is ornamental.

In olden times this did not apply. The dragger was placed according to where it was most functional or felt comfortable. If the person was left handed it would be in a different place than a right handed person.
