There are also many great shirts, such as one that has a big "CK" in the middle and then it reads "Custar Killer". There are so many great ones, and you can see them in rezdogs.com. I think that's correct, if not rezdog.com. one of those two. Anyone know which one I'm talking about?

You're welcome Homalosa. I also can remember our first powwows.com contact was on the negative side but we communicated and found out that our views may not have been in sync but we appreciated each other for being at face value. Not hiding behind or cringing behind an alias.

I know what you mean. It's funny on the Internet. So many of us have strong views about things and since we're in a virtual cyber world, tone of voice is hard to hear. The minute we realize who people are in the "real world" it's easier to see where people are coming from. But, as we see, the 'net also affords some people the convenience of sharing their true views, no matter how offensive, under the guise of a screen name and avatar.

Okay, then I'll be the negative two since your posts are more numerous than mine. I've since had quarrels with Cacahuatemoco, White powwow dancer and a couple of others who would go on a chastising spree because I would stray off the topic. I'm only human :Cry

OUR grandfathers have fighting terrorism Since 1492 not to include my nations history of 1640 of settlements in indain country. So when the whites have a problem with 9/11 yes i feel for them. Many natives passed on that day and thats the only reason i feel for them. They have an idea of what it felt to be scared, the feeling that our grandparents felt. BUt i dont think that they( white society ) will understand. So yes there has been worse terroism on "American soil" in my view, thats when they first arrived and tired to kill off our traditions and beliefs as Native people. They tired but did not succeed. [/B][/QUOTE]

Now this is what terrorism is all about. I remember watching old cowboy movies and I remember being terrified seeing native Americans shot dead right in front of my television eyes. I'm back to the topic so I won't be scolded for going off on a tangent.

Really Homa, I love you and your words of wisdom. That goes to show how well your Mom raised you. Be proud of that. I just hope that one day we can get the opportunity to meet one another. It just seems that some people love to playa hate.
But in the words of a famous wrestler ( yes I love wrestling), "Don't hate the player, hate the game". :D :D :D

Oh man, thanks for such kind words Dancing Eagle. They really mean a lot to me. And yup, I have to give the credit to my mom. She had tremendous help too. I grew up with mom, grandma and great grandma in the same house. Folks used to call me an old soul, but with such wisdom in our house, I couldn't help but benefit!:D

I am proud to see that as Native Americans, we acknowledge the fact that our people suffered the effects of terrorism and still are a strong enough people to continue to stand and fight.
When 9/11 took place, the horror of it was tremendous. Our hearts went out to those left behind yet the United States practiced this same tactic against the Native Americans is the cruelest forms. Our elders were tortured, our young men killed, our women raped and killed, our children left orphans, our bodies ravaged with diseases intentionally placed upon us.
Yet, the spirit of our people continues to be strong. We are still defenders of our lands, our people wear the uniform of this country and go into battle, fight and die for this country. How much class does that take? It proves our hearts truly belong to this land and to our people. We have no other value at stake except honor. We don't own millions of dollars in land, or on Wall Street, nor do we have military careers to defend, or cover up(lol)
We fight because we love this land and we want honor for our people and our ancestors who died for us.
9/11 was a wake up call, it was a terrible, cowardly form of attack on the United States....but isn't that how cowards always attack?

Where's Caramel Apple? She's can't be avoiding powwows.com because she recently replied to the "Invited/Uninvited Drums" post. She should make her stand or realize that differing views make for an exciting world. Or she may have seen the coincidence between all forms of terrorism and felt ashamed for her rash words.
