Deeper meanings in things around us

I wanted to start a thread about the ndn-ness of things in life, science, thought, whatever. I was thinking about genetics and that we are all made up of little cells, like seedbeads, and that what makes us unique are when the cells don't replicate into exact copies, they are slightly different, like the odd bead or imperfection, the medicine.

I was just interested if anyone else gets stuck in thought holes like this or if I've been beading too much lately. It just seems that the more we learn about the world and life, the more truth we find in native teachings.

I like the patterns in things. And maybe ought to quit eating mushrooms that grow in the yard.

It may not fit in here - but all I got to know about men that are not ndn is they are honest when it is a painfull thing - :teeth:

Chevy_truckin_NDN 01-23-2013 12:00 PM

I think all men are honest, but are you listening to what they are saying? NDN or not. Of course I may be wrong....lol but you can usually see it if you want to see it. I dated for many years, and it took me quite a few years to realize that when a man says, "boy, I'm never getting married again, or never getting married...." that he honestly means it. It's then up to you to decide if you are gonna stay and waste the time with him or move on. Maybe too cynical, but I think everyone comes to that point in time when a progression of a relationship should be toward a commitment or marriage...Of course I could just be speaking out of my arse....lol just let me know...lol

:wink_smil as far as it goes for german men I can say they are like this: no but yes but no but yes but no but yes but no  and then they go - maybe but no but maybe but no but maybe but no - but yes maybe not - yes?

What I meant - they seem quicker in negative honesty than in positive like saying - I love you.

I see, they lack the perfection of their parents...yes. Either that or you adopted little beaded dolls. Mine are definitely improvements on their father ... :tapedshut

To Muskrat

It is your beading. That is what is causing you to think so deeply. It is when the patterns of things start clicking into place that you see the tiny essential elements that went into it. All of that comes from beading.

Beading uses math and patterns and spacial skills, all the higher thought processes.

Thank you for your kind reply. This must be why is quite satisfying and calming, I am so glad I have picked it up. It is also helping me find my place and to make things for others, they really enjoy this as do I. It helps with worry as you learn to have faith that things will come out as they should be when finished, and you can focus on doing for others instead of your problems. It really is a good thing!

I'm so glad you are enjoying beading. It really does calm you. It can make time go by quickly though. I can sit down and look at the clock and wonder where the time went.

There are so many techniques of beading too. Sometimes if I want to do peyote stitch, all that is needed is a tiny tin box of beads and my threaded needle. You can do that just about anywhere (just don't drive...it wouldn't work there. LOL) I am working bias stitch now, the sort of beading that is a lot like finger weaving to make chokers and hair strings. I have my beads in a small box, a clipboard and a little masking tape. That's all you need to work the warped threads.

Then for loom beading and heddle beading, you need more equipment, but most of it if not all of it, you can make yourself. If you are sewing on fabric, you just need that along with your beads and thread. Beading is portable, so you can take it outside, sit in the shade or enjoy the sun.

I'm so glad you discovered how to use natural elements in your beading. I once saw a book at the library that was loaded with beautiful pieces with bits of found things, stuff you'd throw away, and these elements, which you would naturally overlook, were the most celebrated parts of the piece.

So you see, it really is a matter of perspective, and beading seems to help you see things in a different way. You are going to really enjoy seeing the things you can create take form!

In a "cult-book" from the 70's I re-read occasionaly I read the name Yaqui - next day a Yaqui posted here - yesterday I read in the book the book the word ~peyote~ - now I read it here - in this german chat community I get a name from a chat ~friend~ on to my mind, next second that person comes online, that happened quite often. What is this?

Right on! I don't bead, but I have in the past doing fashion design.

Genetics is the modern extension of constitutional medicine. The more you get into it, it reveals that there are tendencies. Even in the slight differences, a tendency emerges, and the tendencies in fuller expression emerges as a pattern. Extending the genetic patterns, from body to mind & spirit, you are still met with tendencies and patterns. Learning the tendencies & patterns through knowledge, emotion, experimentation, and experience, a new way of seeing arises. As the pervasiveness of it can be extended to all things material and non-material, the observer becomes informed and enlightened . This we call the third eye. Peace be upon you!

ForgottenGerman: I don't understand what you are saying.

ReocurringDreamer: You sound like my medical student daughter. I also don't understand what you are saying. (Don't feel bad, I don't understand her either.)

As an older person (which I am), I think many younger folks tend to make things more complicated than they are...or they feel compelled to observe a behavior and put a label on it and file it away for use in identifying.

Knowing a behavior by experience is very very different. Only people who have been beading consistantly (not short fits and starts) understand this experience.

Beading, while physically building a complex system, does calm a person in a simple way, and this often allows people to set other things in their lives rightly.

But to really know this is to actually spend enough time beading to see it. Muscrat knows this now while others may only know about it. It is something you must experience to truly know.

I was talking about coincedences.

wyo_rose 01-28-2013 01:26 PM

Are there really any coincidences???

And if you over-analyze a situation, are you really using its deeper meaning to enhance your perception, or are you just going to second guess yourself?

If you have to stop and think about it, you're placing yourself on the "outside" and not accepting and internalizing it.

In my experience, if you realize that EVERYTHING has a deeper meaning, and that your consciousness will never know the half of it, you can accept everything as it comes and 'go with the flow'.

I agree totally with what you say. Coincedences it's what people call it, I always see a deeper meaning in it when that happens. That is what I am always trying to say - going with the flow -

I have a friend he ask me to set up a electric motor for his tools. He let me have old motor to clean up and use I took it apart look like the circle life inside motor windings. Here is picture of the motor.

Yeah, that is really cool. I do programming and it always reminds me of the interlocking gears in a clock, which remind me of those circles, programming is very circular.

NDNess of all things

I think you are right. I think of the "beads" of DNA that control the cells. There are only 4 "colors" (Guanine, Adenine, Cytosine, Thymine) like the four colors of a medicine wheel (Red, white, yellow, black/blue). The multiple combination of those beads/colors give us a message that tells the cell how to run.
By combining those "beads" of information we get multiple combinations with infinite possibilities.
Perhaps the "code" is in the medicine wheel after all?
