Forum concentrates on Indian issues

LUMBERTON - The N.C. Commission of Indian Affairs will hold an American Indian Community Health and Human Resource Forum on Sept. 2 in Lumberton.

Public health, chronic diseases among Indians, mental health reform, engaging tribal communities to improve health care and economic development for tribal communities are among the issues to be discussed.

The forum will be at the Southeastern Agricultural Center. Participants may register at the event. The $25 registration fee includes all workshops, materials and food during breaks and lunch.
