While I don't agree with Obama's "vision" of change, I can and will respect the office he now has earned.

Unfortunately, there exists a possibility that he may not be in office very long before an attempt is made on his life.

With all the neo-nazi, skinhead, white-supremacist whack-jobs out there, I fear for Obama's safety. He has become a "target" for a number of extremist groups and individuals.

Should we prepare ourselves for President Joe Biden?

Due diligence is always a good idea, but the Secret Service is one of the world's most highly trained bodyguard agencies and they've devoted copious resources to presidential security. Look how many people hated Bush, and did anyone try anything? Not that we know of. Even mentioning that there could be an attempt could be construed as a "hint" of a threat, too. So please be careful.

I'm not sure if I were Barack, would I pull a "Clinton" and go dashing into McDonald's for coffee on my morning jog without warning, though.

Though he won with an Electoral College landslide, the popular vote was fairly close. On a grand scale, a few million votes out of over a hundred million is not a wide margin; it turned out to be what, 5% difference? There are 45% of Americans who didn't want Obama and will be watching for even the smallest blunders, and will judge his Party by them when it comes to the 2010 elections for congressional seats. Just like in 1994. Obama promised to be a uniter, he just better keep that promise if nothing else.

There's already been attempts on his life during the election .. not by individuals but by groups and fortunately for him they were thwarted before they got anywhere. If he gets taken down it will not be by a group but by an individual much like all other assassins of presidents. The last known attempt that came close was on Reagan and that man is out of jail now I think. Hinkley. He did it for Jodie Foster he said, to impress her. Guess he did'nt know she was a lesbian or he could have saved himself some time for sure lol.

Speaking of assassins.... the most memorable one for me that would have been a darwin award if they'd been around was Sam Bick who tried to assassinate Nixon. Hijacked a plane and was going to fly it into the white house, but killed the pilot before they even left the ground I believe and did'nt know how to fly a plane himself lol. Dude was schitzophrenic I think. Voices in his head telling him to do it.

With Obama's minimal leadership experience I'm guessing many his "decisions" are probably going to be fed to him by Biden from behind the curtain anyway. And that's not necessarily a criticism (though not a compliment either). It's a fact that effective leadership means surrounding yourself with people who know more than you and then letting their advice and expertise rule through you. You just have to understand the basic what's what and still take responsibility for whatever consequences. As long as Obama does all that let's just step back 100 days and see what he does with it. Then we can pounce on his party during the 2010 congressional elections if need be.

I'm not a Republican.
I'm not a Democrat.
I'm a VOTER.

I don't see Obama doing anything that really sounds new if you take away the glam and glitz and all the people shouting NEW. Same old promises and some really bad ideas but America likes to hear the word NEW, FRESH, EXCITING. And if we had'nt just had 8 years of monkey boy behind the wheel I don't think he'd have gotten that seat so easily. Folks just get tired of Republican presidents and can only take them for so long. But lets see how excited people are of Obama after the new car smell wears off.
