'Lost' Cherokee group wants federal recognition

The group organized in April 1999. Its members say they are descendants of Cherokees who refused to follow the Trail of Tears to Indian Territory in Oklahoma. The group says it has asked the Bureau of Indian Affairs for recognition. im one of the thease lost cherokee,s my descanants come from arkansa, and missouri, or oklahoma, i think my grand mother was stolen from the whites or adopted, im looking for mourning dove, corn, grand mother adoted name, carmen reading, need in fo to get on roles can anyone help that knows about this era you willbe blessed by the great spirit wado shyeagle.
