Re: Bribery of Legislatures in the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribes???

This was sent to my work email. Just for everyone to know about the corruption that plagues my tribe. I guess I should be embarrassed....But I'm not. I'm going to hammon tomorrow to vote AGAINST that budget. I want to see tribal members working instead of getting handed emergency assistance checks.

The link now works.

To Everyone,

It is time to SAVE OUR TRIBES. I have attached a link to an interesting video surveillance tape. It shows some of the legislatures cashing checks from Southwest Casino Corp 10 days prior to the vote to renew the Management Contract.

CLICK THIS LINK:

YouTube - Buying Legislatures??? True or False

Our Legislatures (IDA HOFFMAN, ROY DEAN, JANICE PRAIRIE CHIEF-BOSWELL, MIKE MARTIN & VIRGIL WHITESHIRT) as well as our Tribal Council Coordinator (DAVID BEARSHIELD) are seen in this video cashing checks from Southwest Casino's.

They are cashing these checks from Southwest at the cashiers station at Lucky Star in Clinton.

Why is Souhtwest Casino giving them checks 10 days before the Tribal Council Meeting that they (Southwest Casino Corp) got their contract renewed?

Why do the legislatures get paid off and not all of the Tribal Members?

Are we getting a lower Per Cap because of this?

How often and how much more are have they got paid from Southwest Casino Corp? ($10,000, $20,000, $30,000 or more)?

Aren't these legislatures suppose to be representing us? It seems as though they are looking after the best interest of Southwest Casino Corp!!

The Governor has been telling us that this is happening, but now we have proof. Look at the video yourself. Share this with all of the Tribal Members out there.

Tomorrow (Saturday the 21st of July) at 10:00am in Hammon, Oklahoma there is a Tribal Council Meeting. The Legislatures are trying to push through a budget that is not good for us.

It shuts down many of the programs at the Tribes.
Many Tribal Employee's will lose their jobs.
If this budget passes on Saturday, then on Monday the Governor will be forced to lay off MANY tribal employees.

It is time to hold these legislatures accountable. Do not believe me. WATCH THE VIDEO. These legislatures (IDA HOFFMAN, ROY DEAN, JANICE BOSWELL, MIKE MARTIN & VIRGIL WHITESHEET) as well as Tribal Coordinator (DAVID BEARSHIELD) need to be held accountable. It is our Nation.

Our Governor has been telling us this for the past year and a half. Lets get to Hammon and reject this budget. Lets make these legislatures answer as well as the Southwest Casino Corp.

It is costing us $30,000,000 (30 Million) over the next 5 years.

DO NOT SIT BACK AND TAKE THIS ANY LONGER. IT IS TIME TO UNITE AND FIGHT AGAINST THIS.

RE: Tribal Council Meeting

I would like to encourage all tribal members to attend the Tribal Council meeting at Hammon tomorrow morning to vote. Remember the budget that the Legislature passed is unconstitutional because it does not fund the complete tribal government and all Departments funded in the Constitution. Some of the consequences of this budget:

• a complete shutdown of all communications, phone calls, emails, etc. coming into and going out of this building, including the processing of payroll and all of the accounting functions of the tribe. Which will jeopardize all Federal Programs.
• Abolishment of funding for the eldercare program.
• The Legislative proposed budget abolishes positions of targeted employees throughout many departments and programs. However, if I am forced to layoff employees, I will take this action based on seniority and all positions and employees will be subject to the Reduction in Force (RIF).
• Inadequate funding of several departments and programs of the Tribes. Economic development employees will lose their jobs once again, along with many others.
• The Legislature’s slush fund is extravagant and ridiculous. They made all programs submit detailed line item budgets with no ability to transfer between line items, yet they failed to do the same in their budgets. What is their salary? 150,000? Where is the authorization act for their salary? Their salary has never been authorized at any level and has been disallowed several times. Their only job is to pass laws, one time a month, and they receive $50,000? If they want to complain about salaries, look at their own over inflated worthless salaries first.
• This budget was personally directed to hurt and harm certain employees and programs and they claim that I am a dictator? The employees that they targeted are doing good jobs but apparently that is not allowed at the tribes. They put their own self-serving interests first before considering the best interests of the Tribes as a whole. Sounds like the old business committee to me.

Sigh sounds like the same ole problem
A few get greedy with money and they use it to there own gain!
I encourage anyone in any tribe that this is happening in to take notice!
This could be any of our own tribe!!!
This has been a problem with the CNA's for a while and wont go away until every CNA gets involved...
I wish you luck Chevy_truckin_Ndn!
