Photos of Gourd Dancing

In the PowWows.com Scavenger Hunt:
http://www.powwows.com/gathering/pow...t-contest.html

You can earn points for taking photos or videos of a Gourd Dance.

I've been gourd dancing for a few years and recorded and photographed several of them.

There are over 70 photos here:
Gourd - Native American Pow Wow Photo Gallery - PowWows.com

And a few videos here:
Pow Wow TV - Native American Pow Wow Videos

And even more here:
YouTube - gourd dance

I've had several users write to me today being offended that we are encouraging photos and videos of sacred dances. I've never heard of any issues with this before.

If there is, please someone let me know so I can change it!

What's the deal??

Thanks!

I've seen some funny/strange things while traveling around dancing Paul, but photography is the least of them, unless it's some bozo running out in the middle to snap a shot. There are worse offenses that would disrespect the dance in my opinion.
