Post American War Mothers

The American War Mothers was organized September 29, 1917 as an offshoot of the work they did during WWI for the Food Conservation Committee. At it's inception it was a dying organization because membership was limited to mothers whose sons and daughters served in the Armed Forces between April 6, 1917 and Nov 11, 1918. It's Charter was extended by Congress to include WWII, Korea and subsequent military actions. It became an organization that worked for the welfare of the members of the Armed Forces; assist the wounded and incapacitated; and to promote friendship and understanding between America and the Allies.
There were several chapters formed among Oklahoma tribes; Pawnee, Otoe, Kiowa, Cheyenne, Osage, Comanche, etc either known as War Mothers Organizations or Service Clubs. Each had their own songs and distinctive insignia.
At the 1923 National War Mothers Convention held in Kansas City there was a Mrs. Two Bears from North Dakota honored because she lost a son during WWI.
I'm wondering if any of you Northern folks know of or can recall any War Mothers organizations among your people? If so, did they have songs belonging to the organization, club songs, etc or were the individual veterans remembered in specific songs made for and given to them?
The current National President is Cherokee. Last years National Convention was held in Oklahoma City and there was a major Indian presence. I'm trying to help compile a history so any help or comments from you Northern folks would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
