eagle feather staff

i've seen many different styles of eagle staffs. i've heard there are other staffs as well, such as a snowy owl staff, and a buffalo hoof staff. and one other that i can't think of. is this true? and do you have to be a vet to own a staff?

My Step Father is a Veteran and has a Tlinget Raven Staff ....

I have seen men with staffs that arn't Vets .... but at the same time that doesn't make it right either ..... sorry

that's a good question. there's a discussion in northern singing about drum staffs. jibby makes some good points about different kinds of staffs out there....
