I like all those groups Snitty, but don't forget Southern Suns (southern). And there's a new group called Secret Hill out of Hollister, NC that are southern too. I like the boyz from Maxton Southern Nation and Standing Elk. I am proud of all the groups out of NC. And I am so sorry, I know I have forgotten some.

Way to represent. Thanks Snitty!!

It is so good to hear those name from good ole Kackalac called out. Maxton, Buckhead, Hollister are names I am very familiar with. I am in UT now but I love my southern drums. There can never be to drum groups from NC. Hold it down out there!TextText

Sorry if I offended any peeps from north carolina.I'm all the way down here in Louisiana.I just happened to listen to some song samlpes on Eastern Bull's web page, and I think they are pretty good .I didn't know they were just starting out.I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And sorry if I use them in "the same sentence as Stoney Creek."

I'd have to say that my favorites from NC would be Red Wolf and Stoney Creek and a drum from Cherokee, but i can't remember the name, but the drummers used to consist of Will Tuska and Andy Grant. Maybe i'm thinking too way back, . TrueWarrior, nothing against KTN Jr's, i'm really a more a contemporary type of gal!

The only drums that i have heard out that way are stoney creek and eastern eagle. you guys need to make your way to the mid west and fartheer to get heard. thats just what i think. go to biz, sisseton, rapid, hinckley,az, out west even farther, etc.... you dont need a host spot or to contest just go rock the house.

Hey Mastablastah what up....just makin' a clarification...

Stoney Creek's from NC, but Eastern Eagle's from Nova Scotia, Canada....

might've been confusing them with a drum from down there called Eastern Bull

lataz all....

The drum you're referring to is the Longhair Singers. Also, anyone who likes Eastern Bull as a singing group doesn't know diddly about pow wow music.

I don't even listen to Eastern Bull's music. I never even been to a powwow in NC to know if they were good or not. I just felt like putting my 2 sense in on this topic so I put those 2 drums . hehe
