Age changing perspectives...

When i was very young, GAS was something you laughed at!

Now GAS is something to worry about. In more ways than one! **laughin**

What age changing perspective do you have?

yaahl 01-10-2012 01:55 AM

I look like I'm playing the air trombone when I'm trying small print...either that or my arms are shrinking with age...lol

Used to be that if a an ankle or knee joint popped, it would feel good. Now it makes me wonder if something broke. :)

Joe's Dad 01-10-2012 07:42 AM

I go to the massage lady a lot more.

pigheaded 01-10-2012 10:26 AM

The day I realized that all this grey hair, ISN'T from wisdom

When i was a young adult....i would get upset at finding myself behind some “old” person who was putting down the road slow as can be.

now that i am that “old bag”, i wonder why everyone is Zipping by?!

I find it hard to grow old sooo fast that I am shock that the times goes zipping through with the blink of the my eyes. Now my parents passed and the time will be my turn soon. :confused_ Life is short and I just have to find a ways to enjoy the pleasures of being an old woman which I am now. It is not too bad. Being an Elder is helping young people go through learning from me and other Elders about life.

My body keep changing and it is not the same like when I was an young adult. As for Gas, it does not seem funny to me.

Finding my purse in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard...my hubby is getting so old...lol

pigheaded 01-11-2012 01:09 PM

The day I looked in teh mirror and saw this grey hair leathery skinned old man with very clear start of some major wrinkles starring back at me.

My grandson calls those cracks. He said one day, "Mommy why do my granmas look different? One has big cracks in her face (their father's mother) and one has little cracks on hers?" He said it in front of both of us.... *sigh* the woman hates me enough after someone, again right in front of her, said I look more like my kid's big sister than her mom but knew the other gran was the gran, no question...lol

Lesson from this... remember those days back in hig school when you got teased for the oily skin by all those fresh faced cheerleader types? Now who's laughing.... those same girls are on their third and fourth face stretch and us oily skins are holding up great...LOL

I hate having to do that!!! I have to carry around one of those little flashlights you clip to your keychain 'cause the print's too small and the lights are too dim for me to read some restaurant menus. Once it was so bad (and I'd forgotten the flashlight) that I had to have the menu read to me.

And, now I often have to wear reading glasses. :teeth:

Some days ya might as well call me rice krispies b/c of all the snaps, crackles and pops! Maybe I should make myself start yoga again.

Everytime I find a masseur/masseuse/spa I like, they go out of business after one or two visits. Didn't know seeing me all "undraped" could have such an effect on people!!

What was my picture doing in your mirror????? :hysterica

wyo_rose 01-11-2012 07:10 PM

My eyes are going and I keep forgetting my 'beading' glasses.

I'm in denial about the rest...heck I've been dying my hair, having creaky knees, forgetting what I'm doing, etc....since I was in my 20s.
