Craving all kinds of food and I'm not even pregnant! LOL
Lately, I've been craving some NM food. The last time I ate some green chili stew, Lotaburger, and stuffed sopapillas was in April. In my area, we have a mixture of southern cooking, Tex-Mex, cajun, and some Asian.

Geez, anyone else get all kinds of cravings?

What kind of foods are common in your area that aren't common elsewhere?

MMM.. NM green chili sounds great! And maybe some creamy chicken enchiladas. And a Taco John's Apple Grande...my stomach is rumbling...didn't eat since breakfast.

We eat rice at every meal, and we're not even Chinese. LOL.

I wish I could venture to other parts to sample a bit of everything. That would be nice.

I just started Weight Watchers on Saturday; so, of course with dieting I'm hungry and craving just about everything!!!

One food that is pretty much a local item is the ponza rotta.

Imagine a dough similar to frybread dough, stuffed with any kind of pizza topping: sauce, cheese, sausage, onions, (all of the above, LOL!), folded over like a calzone, but then deep fried in oil until golden and the cheese runs out when you bite into it.

It's not on Weight Watchers point list, but I wouldn't be suprised if it used a day's worth of points plus a week's worth of bonus points, too.

Now I'M getting hungry!
