Pacers vs Pistons/Pistons fans

Anybody see the video footage of the brawl last night during the Piston-Pacer game? I seen a clip and it's hilarious. Some of them Pistons fans aren't too bright *mocking piston fan* 'Here comes Jermaine O'Neal with a balled up fist maybe he'll give me an autograph!'

I watched it and noticed that b-ball players can't fight worth s***. They may be big and have long arms but the way they throw their punches, in Canada even a peewee hockey player could'a kicked their a**es. It was a sad sight tho, both the teams and the fans should be ashamed of what happened.

I saw it live...and it was a disgrace...wasting all that good beer on Ron Artest! I agree w/ badmaninc..tho...
Once in a Maple Leaf game, fans were taunting challenging Tie Domi...and then one of the dumb asses actually fell in to the penalty box! he got a HELL of a lot less brave and mouthy..but fortunately for him...Domi didn't kill him...
Players should NEVER leave the arena and enter the stands. Looking at the cause, it was a cheap shot by Artest very late in a one sided victory...he seems to be one of the more aggressive (dirty) players in the NBA..and it will come back to get him...
Detroit already gets more than its share of negative publicity, and this fiasco certainly won't help!

From what I undersand Rasheed stepped to Artest, Artest layed down, Rasheed walks by still talking s**t, Artest is still laying down when a woman throws her beer at him, not seeing who threw it he rushes the dudes around the woman who were taunting and jeering. That's how he got hit with the second cup of beer. It's understandable how he lost his head. Let's say you was in a bar and somebody threw two beers at you then started talking **** what would you do? My first reaction would be to fight but then I'm not a basketball player. Part of being a professional ball player is maintaining self control and any NBA player should be used to taunting and jeering. I wish I was able to see that live though.

All of that happened AFTER Artest hacked Ben Wallace (undercut him on way to hoop) with about 1 minute left, and Pacers ahead by 15 pts or so...Ben then shoved him (by the face!) and all hell broke out from there...Artest was lying on the scorer's table...and some imbecile doused him with a beer...your right, would piss me off...and I 'd want to deck the thrower as well. But Artest should have got the security to toss (hopefully for good) the beer pourer...and not charged in to the stands... he's about 6'8" and very strong...what's to prove beating up middle aged beer bellied men (and some women!) I'm just glad no players were hurt...some of the fans had it coming to them...but I'll bet they'll be the same ones suing Artest or Jermaine O'Neal for assault!!!

Artest didn't even foul Rasheed that hard, Raheed shouldn't have stepped to him. I tried going to espn.com cause I heard they had a dope video showing the whole melee but I can't download espnmotion for some reason or other. The link I seen only shows part of what happened.

Them guys still can't fight though. Looked like they were fighting for the first time in their lives and if it wasn't they didn't win very many in their lives. I think they were like everybody else just really missing hockey.

^Word. When I seen the guy in the black shirt throw his beer at Artest and the player on Artest's left jumped in and swung at the fan he missed with his fist it was his wrist that hit the dude. Those pacers just don't know how to throw punches lol.

Artest got suspended for the entire season. And a few other Pacers got 25-30 game suspensions. Damn.

Talking

Now, how about a lifetime ban for the drunk imbeciles out in the audience who added fuel to the fire? Or, at least, make them show proof of going through a diversion program (sorta like DUI court has in some places) before they are 'welcome' back to the arena, which I think they call 'the Palace'. Artest is damn lucky to still have a job, though, in my book. I wouldn't want him playing for my team (as an owner) even with his 20 points a game. He's bad mojo. While we send the fans to diversion class, let's send Artest et al to anger management classes. Equal Opportunity Education!

I never liked Artest anyway. I'm glad he got suspended for the rest of the season. It was just last week he was talking about wanting to take the rest of the season off so he could work on his album. Well he's got the rest of the season off now. I'm sure his album will still be terrible.

Watched the whole incident all weekend on Sportscenter. It was crazy! I bet now Artest wishes that he could've punched that guy's face instead of just shoving him. AYE!

Post RE: Tha Brawl

When I saw this I was shocked and speechless. I never thought I would a never see a player go into the crowd and start fightin around. I thought I would only see that on the old classic movie "Slap Shot." Hockey fans in here know what I am talkin about. Anyways, I don't think Ron Artest deserved to be suspended for the whole season. Along with his team mates gettin the short end of the stick. What's up with Ben Wallace only gettin 6 games? When he was the one that overreacted on Artest's foul. Cryin around like a b*tch. Maybe if the Pistons fans could control there drunkeness, this brawl probably woulda never happened. The fans are just as guilty as the Pacers are. Whats up with the fat black guy just punchin Anthony Johnson from behind. What's up with that one fan throwing the chair towards Jermaine O'Neal. That was more crazy then Ron Artest punchin some random white guy. Or that one guy taking down Ron Artest, but he had it coming when Jermaine O'Neal layed him out on the court. LMAO!!! David Stern is just scared that this situation might make the NBA interesting again. JKS! Well this whole week has been violent in sports huh. Cleveland Browns/Pittsburgh Steelers fight, Indian Pacers/Detroit Fans, and the South Carolina/Clemson fight. Dayum, what a week for sports.
