We made the decision yesterday to put my old horse down. My 12 y/o cried because that was the first horse he learned to ride. He was really a great horse.

We also sold the pony, since the kids have moved on to bigger horses, so we are now down to 4 horses. It will be nice having that extra feed money to spend!

:sad_smile Man...what a hard desicion to make! I'm sorry!

My 8year olds horse did die on Christmas Eve. She went down and we couldn't get her back up. She died and my girl came outside right after she took her last breath and I told her that her pony Cali was going to be Jesus's Birthday gift from us. She didn't even cry. She asked if we thought he would like the present. Then she worried that the horse was to dirty and muddy and skinny we told her that she would be in her perfected state and that she would be pretty and clean and no more bones poking out and she would beable to run jump and have fun in the fields of Heaven with Jesus and all the other kids that have past away. It was a very special occasion. I think my husband took it the hardest I didnt cry either. I celabrated her death cause now shes not in pain any longer. She was my dun pony! I sang to her the cinderella bipity bopity boo song I called her cala ma zoo. Her real name was calua and cream. Cali for short. She was a registered pinto. We still have 1 pony Halflinger and thats all she turns 3 in april so we will start her training. She is concidered a draft pony. She only stands 14 hands. But we think her mother was a belgian draft God help us if she was! :regular_s She has been very lonely so we are in search of a horse for my girl and my horse. We would like 1 thats only about 15 yearsold instead of 20 or 30 years old. We dont have a lot of money to spend on one though only willing to spend about $500. U get what u pay for though. I am sorry to here that your little one took it hard. The spirit of the horse can never leave him neither can the memories!!!!!!!!!
