OMG, I had such a culinary challenge this morning. My friends and I ended up at this bachelor pad and they had NOTHING to cook for breakfast. Of course they had a few commods and ONE slice of bacon. So I make biscuits and bacon gravy and peach cobbler and oatmeal raisin cookies. And FRIED BALONEY!! It was the first time most of those guys ever had fried baloney!!
Talk about impressing some folks!! LOL!! |

The fried baloney was the HIT!!!
![]() How to make bacon gravy with one slice of bacon: OK, heat as much butter as you can spare in a skillet. (I think I scraped about 2 Tablespoons out of their Shedd's Spread container) ![]() Meanwhile, cut your one lonely piece of bacon into tiny pieces. It kinda helps if it's on the dried up side. ![]() Don't be in a hurry and let it cook until the flour or bakery mix gets kinda brownish. If you have milk, or powdered milk, or even canned milk, count your blessings!!! I had to use just water this morning and good thing those guys were mega hungry, cuz just plain folks may not like it so plain. Anyway, when your butter/spread/flour mixture gets brownish and crumbly, add your liquid. Don't be shy and KEEP stirring!! And keep adding until it's kinda runny. Boil it awhile, add some salt and pepper and it will be perfection in just about 5 minutes!! Guarranteed to please!!!! |

My hubbys great grandmother always ate tea and frybread.. for the reason she couldnt bite into much of anything as she got older and she loved her Frybread hehe... so she would dip it into her tea to make it soft.
Ill eat frybread with anything, but i wont dip it into my tea, not sure i can handle the grease in Muh tea.. hehe |
