Thanks for the invite, Grits, but I don't do winter. LOL!
Well, the wind from Irma wailed all over for about 7 or 8 hours, knocked out the power, and dumped about 10 inches of rain. Poor dog stood and growled at the door because of the wind whistling through it. Power was only out about 6 hours, so it wasn't too bad. Home county looks like it took a beating, though. A bunch of it is flooded, docks on the river got torn up, and a mess of trees down all over. Water and power are out in 98% of the county. We are headed back tomorrow to see what we will find. I'm hoping to be happily surprised like we were with Matthew. After it had all blown over, we were out walking, and found a jellyfish. There's a small business in front of the hotel, and it was in that parking lot. Weird because we are a long ways from the ocean-about 15-20 miles or so.

Sup errybody.
Glad to know you are all ok after those storms. Imma have a coffee pleez. Had a weird experience today. About a year ago, in the town where I live here in Cali, I noticed a sign outside one of the frequently turned over commercial buildings on my way to work. It said: OKLEVUEHA Native American Church I've been curious about it ever since, so today I stopped by. When I walked in it smelled like pot mixed with other things (Which didn't bother me). The lobby was well kept with different flyers and odds and ends on the wall, nothing bad. Over the next few minutes different people came out of a door on the far side of the lobby, 4 or 5 white people. Then I was greeted by a young security guard (Indian from India) who was very friendly. I didn't know he was Indian from India until he saw me and started slightly bowing and making praying hands. He spoke decent English; "So do you want to become a member?" "I don't know" I said. "Let me find a volunteer to speak with you." He said. Then I meet a very friendly, respectful young man. He explained to me that this Native church was founded by some Injun from Utah (Name started with an M, can't remember it). He explained that mainly people get together and use medicinal marijuana, and if I had any questions about attending sweat or anything spiritual he could set up a meeting for me with the spiritual leader. Then he says "She is in training now, but she could do a special pipe ceremony for you." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Is she native?" I asked "No" he said looking down at his shoes "Are you native?" I asked "No I'm Cambodian" He replied Then I came back here to Red's LOL

Oh, I've heard about them. Their leader is James Warren "Flaming Eagle" Mooney, who claims to be Yamasse Seminole (Hugh Urban, New Age, Neopagan, and New Religious Movements, University of California Press, 2015, p. 41).
They were involved in some legal brouhaha over their use of peyote (pot, Psilocybe cubensis & Banisteriopsis caapi), in "sacraments." Mooney was charged with distribution of peyote to non-Natives. It got into the murky waters of free exercise and racial politics. Ultimately the Utah Supreme Court dismissed the case. About 20 years ago I was in a job training school. There were a lot of east europeans also and then for the first time in my life I got asked (by that female teacher) which country I came from.

Yes you can, but what beer do you want? 0.0 Klobier or the real stuff? Hm, is it legal to hand out the real stuff to you where you are?

I may need some of that. I have to do my second mandatory safety training presentation of the month. This time for our machine shop. Yehaw.
I could use WD to wrangle these cats all in one place. I already have three people on the roster for the second make up. Can I get these 6 hours of my life back? |

More precisely the Tachyonen generater and accelerator.
Forgot that the parts are so tiny that I should have send the repair machine for those parts from the future into my present wherever, whenever I am. |

My second and biological time machine, which is and was always invisible does not function properly yet again.
Somebody confused and ceased to function this secret TM many years ago in a silent, hidden way long not really recognized. There is a chance that it will come back but needs a long time to heel. ![]() Last edited by Broken Arrow; 09-23-2017 at 02:51 AM.. |

I need coffee, puh-leeze!! We got home to find enough downed tree parts in the back to keep all of us in firewood for three lifetimes. We lost about 50 feet out of the top of a cedar tree-just twisted off, so it makes me wonder if there was a tornado. There's about 3 tons of oak down, too. There was a huge limb just hanging over the back walk. I was kind fo worried about it taking the corner of the back porch off when it came down, but it didn't. Gravity managed to be kind and took the heavy part out to the yard. It didn't even punch a whole in the screen. :)
I need to go run to the ammo store. The mosquitoes that have hatched out are huge-and I've never seen them this bad. We're going to take up shooting them instead of swatting them. Swatting them just seems to make them mad. LOL!
