Well, I can't offer coffee pots in 1 gallon but I do have 5 liter coffee pots.

As to cherry cake, sour cherry, or dark cherries which are called here "Schattenmorellen" or plain cherries?

If you wish they can be served with pastry cream. (Ok, not to much, as it is something the wage watchers would not recommend to eat.)

Don't know, just wonder.

I thought you manage the casino and let the non NDN's leave their money there for the NDN's.

It's a rainy night in Georgia. Breezy and cool too. It's finally cooling off, after a high of 88 today, it's only supposed to be around 73 tomorrow. We will be having a northeaster, so that wind coming off the ocean, along with cloudy skies it is going to be "chilly." Time to break out the winter clothes and the hot chocolate. LOL!

Chilly indeed. We only got to 73F yesterday and went down to 48F last night. I had to get a blanket in the middle of the night.

I'd really like one week between AC season and heating season, LOL. Got to get the HVAC folks out to check out the ol' heater, before I fire it up. I've got company coming next week; they may want warmth.

Three nice warm autumn days with the sun shining and the golden leaves shining.

Between 68 to 78 F. The nights are down to 50 F.

1000 ways of not giving sympathy to someone having lost everything, family, friends, work, through death, violence and bossy people and the volunteers from church that are there for talking with people having such problems say, sorry, I can't help you when actually saying, all I need would be a couple of sympathetic words, everything else I can handle myself.

Sigh.

I never found out which words help and which do not help. The same words from different people do not work the same way.

I hope that your own belief in your creator gives you the strength to carry on.

There are activities you like without necessarily be able to argue rationally why you like them. My experience is, that it is helpful to concentrate on those as far as possible and at least for a while the burden does not feel so heavy.

I hope that there are some people with you, if not physical but virtual.

Have a good Sunday.

Having my own losses to carry as mentioned I found out when other people told me their pains I gave them a hug or tried to tell them a joke or just gave them the feeling they aren't f*****g left alone and just told to go here there, everywhere with the words I hope you find someone there. A lot of people maybe so demanding in attention on grand style so everyone thinks they must give attention in grand style and shy away because these thoughts which are comming out of their own considerations are overwhelming them so they leave people alone which are having to suffer hard fate, instead of talking with the person about daily stuff, they talk nothing at all while all the person would need is a seat amongst the group talking daily stuff whatever people talk about. So, the most simple things aren't coming into the minds of others as they just think others with hard fate need more or whatever kind of grand attenion. All bulls! Simple stuff is not granted, the basics of communication

Some cheese grits and sausage please.

This weekend I took an artist friend to the glass blowing school around the corner to blow a glass pumpkin to celebrate her 68th birthday. She was so excited.

Yeah and the Wiener are Frankfurter, depending upon where you are.

That can't be non non NDN Food. Nobody is drinking the boiled water and putting the Wiener or Frankfurter away here I know of.

Of course nobody would drink boilded water because it got burned. Silly

And if all weiners be böklunders and some böklunders be frankfurters, would all frankfurters be weiners and if yes, would they be east german or west german frankfurters since there are two towns named that way? Or are they all fake news names and all of them sausages really called meicas? ;-)

Depends upon whom you ask.

The Wiener say they are Frankfurter (Frankfurt am Main)
but the Frankfurter (am Main or an der Oder) may call them Wiener.

But in nowadays time the might have changed to Böklunder oder Deutschländer but who really knows?

@wardancerLOL.

One of my grandpa's brothers was kind of a wanderer. We wouldn't hear from him for months or years then he'd call -- collect -- from the bus station to tell us he was coming to dinner. He was built like a snake with legs; he slide down the shower drain if he didn't use a safely line, LOL. But, he could eat more than our entire family. My mom became a master of adding a more water to the soup, cutting the meat into smaller pieces, throwing wet croutons into the stuffing, or putting some more noodles in the macaroni and cheese. Anytime the soup was too thin or the meat to stuffing/potatoes ratio favored the stuffing, Dad would ask when her uncle was going to get there.

That's priceless. When I first moved out and had a roomie, we had a neighbor like that. Somehow he always knew when one of us was cooking, and he would just magically appear at dinnertime.

I got 95% of my winter clothes out last weekend and most of the summer ones put away. I was worried I would cause a heat wave by doing that. LOL! Guess not, since it went down to 38 last night, and 42 tonight. Where did October go?? I can't believe it's nearly over.

Yeah, I was in college before I realized blue-box mac and cheese only came with one shape of noodle, LOL. Mom pretty routinely stretched that from a three person meal to four with a handful of random pasta.

My sympathies on the cold front. Winter does indeed scare Fall away.

We had a cold snap last week. It went from 90F to 36F in 24 hours. The weird thing was it started sleeting -- or as they call it in Texas snowing -- at 50F. The frozen precipitation does not even need to stick to the roads to make folks drive looney down here. One lady was so busy taking a cell phone photo of the sleet on her windshield, she didn't notice the stop sign she was running.

I'm being a whiney brat today. My thumb hurts. My right thumb, the one I use to hold a pen or hit the space bar. I need chocolate to make it feel better.

This Sunday, I was soldering a piece with all these weird compound angles. It was tiny and I have over 50 eyeballs, necessitating the use a magnifying visor, which cuts off my peripheral vision. I wasn't sure I had used enough solder and go in to stick solder a questionable area. (Stick soldering is when you feed the wire silver solder into a hot joint.) I should mention, I suck at stick soldering and usually go in too cold. This time I got the solder molten then fumbled the wire. It fell outside my restricted field of view. But, I thought I heard it hit it ground, rather than the bench. So, I go ahead and reach for my solder pick without looking. I found the $^#@ solder. I grabbed hold of both the pick and fresh out of the air-acetylene flame solder. Dang wire stuck to my thumb and branded me.

The kicker is when I tell people why I can't hold a pen, they want to see. The burn is about 0.020" wide. You need my magnifier just to see it. They look at me like I'm the biggest baby. Which I am, but my thumb still hurts. *Whine*
subeeds and Broken Arrow like this.
