I worked in the studio, watched TV, napped and then more studio time.

This week I'm going to geek out with all the Apollo specials on Nat Geo and PBS.

Chuy, could I have some nice soothing tuna salad for my cats?

We had a good 60-80 min long storm. Some wind. No hail, at least downtown. But, more lightning than I've seen in a decade. Knocked out the power for a few minutes three separate times. I'm getting tired of resetting the time on the stove and thermostat. I no longer care to mess with the four buttons and ten nested menus long enough to move my AC into 2019, LOL.

Ishtato hid in the kitty storm shelter, aka the sock bin my closet, around 6:30pm, when the rumbling started up north. She's just came out about 10 mins ago. Now it sounds like a second round is starting. She's headed back into the closet.

Just dropping by to say hi, so "HI!"

Looks like the storm season has been beating everyone up. We have had lots of rain and storms as well but only a few did any real damage. We also had a few weeks with lots of tornado warnings, so bad that I had to turn off the emergency radio because the alert sound is so loud it was scaring the heck out of the cat. A few tornadoes touched down near us but here they tend to be smaller EF-1 and 2 and don't last long because of the terrain. My town is flat and only has a few small flood plain areas so very rarely do we get flooding, however the yard just stays muddy for weeks on end.

I just don't have too much time to drop by here that much anymore. Been super busy these past few months. More adoption searching, house work, and regular work, traveling for work. I did go out to GON this year and drove around NM and checked out Shiprock and Roswell, which was awesome. Also spent some time in upstate NY with some of my wife's family visiting the res and also checked out the arena at Onondaga on the way home.

Anyways, I hope to try to check the forums more often. Take care everyone.

One of the things I loved about growing up at the beach was about 10-20 seconds after something launched from the cape, we could look out the back door (or go down to the beach) and see it.

Chuy, chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.

I spent >20hrs this weekend working on machine instruction generation programs for work. The commercial software for generating g-Code exploded on impact with this surface. Today, I've been in front of my *&^% computer since 7:30am.

I'm so fried, I can't keep my coordinate systems rotated the right way. I just rotated the spindle the wrong direction. *Rose slams her head into her keyboard*

I've also discovered that after 12 years, I need a new office chair. The cushions are shot. I'm doing a the-princess-and-the-pea routine with a stack of PE foam we use to ship lenses.

May I offer pills against headaches? Slamming head into keyboards may generate lots of headaches besides headaches originated by other causes.

Hard work on your back on a bad chair. Demand the best chair you can get. We are getting older every day; not say every second.

Take care of you.

My pain is a tad lower down and in a fleshier spot than my back, LOL. *blush*

Once I correctly pass the spindle direction variable to the thread, things start turning the right way. Oy!

Yo i've been good. Enjoying a beautiful summer. Been intermittent fasting two months now, eating alot more fresh fruit n veggies. Definitely making me stronger. Tried going with no cheat meals but that just made my hormones all chaotic lol. So I'll still have burgers, tacos, pizza etc but in reasonable portions to maintain a caloric deficit.

Lets see what else I been up to. Been sticking close to home, usually only go out to run errands. You can catch me in front of my building barefoot in the grass just like when i was a lil girl aint been to a powwow so far this year. Need me a powwow buddy lol. Aiyo anyone seen wd lately? Guess I'll go pester teebs but first lemme get chemmy some chocolate cake

You can pester me by helping me fix the AC in my wife's car.... All of the parts finally came in and now I can finally fix the darn thing before the weather gets hot again. We were over 100 with a heat index of 114 this past weekend.

I do almost the exact same thing to office chairs. I'm always sitting near the edge, fidgeting with my feet then changing positions constantly including switching which leg I'm sitting on. Surprisingly my chairs have held up the abuse.

Our heat wave briefly cooled down thanks to a few days of rain. the heat should be back by early next week, though.

I had 6 days off, and it rained for most of them. It didn't keep us from car shopping, though. My car was getting up there in miles-164,000+, and needed to be replaced. We found a pretty decent 2013 Ford Edge with only 58,000 miles on it, so, I'm now 18 car payments away from retirement. LOL!
