Tying on the latigo with the feather ends looped on and tying it with sections of shoelace. Have to bend over the bed to do it so do not stay bent over for very long. Have about three more shoelace sections to go. I twisted the lace around the latigo thong between each feather. I guess I will stay to myself for another week.

Well , at least you are making progress. It usually take about 4-5 days to do a bustle start to finish. But then , I've built more than one ! I think my first one took about a week !

Recipe may have already mentioned this. Memory??? Frijoles de Pinto y arroz sodio bajo Pinto beans and rice low sodium
Slow cooker on low setting
Rinse one cup dried beans put in cooker
4-5 cups water
1 TBSP or 2 Mrs. Dash
2 TBSP BACON PIECES (not bits)
1 TBSP olive oil
Cook 3 hours on low.
Rinse 1/2 cup dried rice and add to cooker. Watch pot. You will have to add more water.
Cook another 45 minutes.
This makes about 4 cups of food
If you do not have trouble with swelling in legs, then salt it to taste.
Easy dish for a msn to fix during the Covid 19 virus seclusion.

Would be interesting to watch WD beading, making mocassins, bustle, bags and so on.

May be by watching long enough and trying learning by doing with mistakes might improve the skills.

Disaster foods chicken and dumplings

1 - 14 oz can of cream of chicken soup;
1 can peas and carrots, drained;
2 - 10 oz cans of chicken in water;
1 can biscuits;
1 - diced onion;
1 stalk celery diced;
4 Tbsp margarine/butter;
1/4 c flour;
2 c water;
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning;
1/4 tsp ground black pepper.

In a large saucepan melt the margarine. Cook the onion and celery until transparent. Add the flour and cook with stirring for 2-3 mins to get rid of the raw flour taste. Add seasoning and pepper. Slowly add the water and the cream of chicken soup (with the correct amount of water). Add chicken and vegetables. Bring to a boil.

Roll the biscuits out to about 3/16". Cut in fourths. Add in batches to the chicken. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the biscuits are cooked.

Disaster potatoes

1 package of Idahoan loaded baked potato casserole;
4 oz cubed Spam;
1 bag frozen broccoli;
1 - 4oz cube of Velveeta.

In a large skillet bring to a boil the amount of water and milk specified by the potatoes stove top instructions. Omit the butter. Stir in the sauce package. Add the frozen broccoli and Spam. Stir in the potatoes. Simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 12 mins. Slice the Velveeta and add. Once melted, stir into the potatoes until mixed. Serve.

It's a miracle of modern food science. But it is so good.

Disaster pot pie

1 jar chicken or turkey gravy;
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can green beans, drained;
1 can carrots, drained;
1 can potatoes, drained;
1 can peas, drained;
1 -10 oz can chicken in water, retain liquid;
1/2 tsp thyme;
1/2 tsp onion powder;
1/4 tsp black pepper;
1 tbsp dried parsley;
1 can biscuits or 1 batch of Bisquick biscuits.

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix veggies, chicken, spices, soup and gravy, adding chicken water, in a large casserole dish. Bake covered for 30-40 mins until the liquid is boiling around the edges.

If you use the Bisquick, add 1/4 tsp poultry season to the mix and prepare using the drop biscuit instructions. If using the canned biscuits, slightly flatten the biscuits.

Remove the soup mixture from the oven, stir and top with the biscuits. Leave gaps. Return to the oven. Bake until the biscuits are cooked and the mixture is boiling through the gaps. Loosely cover with foil if the biscuits start browning too much.

I get hungry.

Not good eating much with so low moveing around in this times.

Today we will have fried potatoes, curry sausage and red beet. Yoghurt of the pluck cake and lemon cake flavour. Residual recycling.

I'll have to go to the post office for sending letters. One for mother and one objection to the termination of my saving book. With the inteerst rates at zero the bank dislikes my 1998 and 2001 contracts.

LOL, just got office mail.

Abitur (High school grdauation) postponed until 12. May.
My section is supposed to enter Office perhaps on 21 April again.
Fachhochschulreife (Advanced technical college entrance qualification) exams original planed to start on April 30 is still valid.

Looks like I will have incidentially to dismantle about LEGO EV3 robots, count parts and create a list of missing parts and parts to enhance the functions for future use in time for next yeas courses. LOL, the students should have done it in last and this week to get it doen completely in time. If I am allowed to enter office beside the times where exams take place.

You'd probably fall asleep !

I have my methods down on bustles ! Takes as long to straighten the feathers as it does everything else. day 1 clean and straighten/iron feathers , then clip the quills and add extensions , then tab all of them. day 2 & 3 is all wrapping. Day4 is setting up the backboard and spacing the feathers and stringing them up. Adding the trailer and any other decorating..........LOL..........I never try to work more than 4-5 hours a day though. Beading is all dependent on my RA. whether or not I can bend my fingers......it is starting to wear me down a bit. But still it's boring to watch !

That should remind to get more patient than I am now and if you work slowly, may chances to learn what, why and how you do is enhanced.

Well, the local LE folks, including the county and the state patrol have check points at the Fl. Ga. line now on I-95 and 75. The back roads are closed to any traffic except local. They are trying to keep the Northerners from fleeing to Florida as it seems that many tried to do so. They are supposed to self isolate if they manage to get into Florida. How they expect to enforce that is beyond me.
The hotel I work at is supposed to refuse service to anybody from NY, NJ, CT. and La.-the current hot spots. My boss got us masks and gloves, but I don't know how much longer I"ll be comfortable working. I like my job, but it's not worth my life.

The world has gone nuts, that's for sure.

I can see people foregoing powwow season and bringing back the drum and danced from the 80s/90s.

I ain't been out much in a good long while so this quarantine ain't really affecting me. Fridge is stocked up, I buy to in bulk 2,3 times a year. Got 2 months worth of Charmin left plus got some packs of baby wipes so I'm straight the only fiasco I had was when I dropped my phone in my glass of water and I ordered a new one. And I couldn't get online with my new phone until today. Had to buy WiFi so I could update my phone. It took multiple calls to customer support with crazy long hours on hold but the tenth time was a charm

Ches, you're overlooking the advantage of the online powwow: you don't have to have all your regalia finished. No drum no problem. You just need to train your dog better.
