Summer in da south

It is a HOT & SWAMPY place to live. Lots of green vegetation & rain all summer long. And talk about mosquitos...ACK!

I am so trying to get back to the west coast!

Not to worry Joe's Dad, you're not having an LSD flashback - it's an animated GIF ;)

About 8 years ago I lived in Cayman - a swampy, hot little island in the caribbean. It was there where I spent the first few months of my pregnancy with my daughter in our final time there and it was awful. I moved from there to the high desert in California in July. The week before in Cayman it was around 98 degrees plus humidity so thick it was causing puddles of condensation on the tile floor whenever we would open the windows. I was already extremely nauseous and the awful thick air was making it ten times worse!

The day we arrived in California I remarked to my husband how much cooler it was and how much better I felt. Only to find out it was 115 degrees that day in Cali - but the dry heat was just soooo much easier to handle!

Cool! LOL

Yeah, I lived in the dirty south for almost 3 decades. Decided to move to sunny Cali, but...I chose to be 15 miles from the beach at the foot of the mountains.

I once was riding through the Mojave desert and in 4 hours of driving, all I saw was 2 white lizards. I swear they looked like the were 6 feet long.
