LAS Vegas, Nev. - Senior captain for the University of Nevada women's basketball team Tahnee Robinson was named to the 2011 WAC Tournament team Saturday. Nevada was eliminated from the tournament Friday in the semifinal round in a 69-56 loss to the tournament's No. 1 seed Louisiana Tech.

In Nevada's two games, Robinson averaged 29 points after setting a career-high with 35 Thursday night. She crossed the 1,000-point threshold for her career currently sitting at 1,031 in her two years at Nevada. The senior from Fort Washakie, Wyo. shot 61.8 percent from the field, 66.7 from beyond the arc and 83.3 from the free throw line. In addition she averaged 7.5 rebounds, had two steals and three assists.

Robinson will be headed to New York City to find out whether she will be the recipient of the 2010 Sullivan Award on Monday, March 14, 2011. The Sullivan Award is a prestigious award given to the nation's top collegiate athlete and will be award at the New York Athletic Club. Robinson is one of just five finalists for the award.
