So they expect to see Our items that we made. This is also another reason why our culture gets lost. It is lost in the world of many, for how can we preserve what we are taught from a young age if we allow others that are non native to represent their wares as Native American Made?

Just my thoughts, I don't expect everyone to view things as I do.
I wouldn't sell anything I made as being native made, and that's not what I meant. If a culture is preserved by a white man or indian man, what's the difference. It's still being carried on ,right? I'm talking about Fine quality, traditionaly learned and made, 'authentic' Indian craftwork, made by a non-native. Everything done the same by both native and white with the only difference being the race.

NAGPRA laws state that for "authentic" craft items to be sold they have to be indian made. I do not think this takes into the account the many adopted indian people or the mixed breeds. But i also dont see people pressing charges against those people either. I believe that NAGPRA is more there to protect sacred items and to stop exploitation. I personally get upset at all the made in taiwan stuff you see around, but ya know that is gonna happen. Whwn there is money to be made.....
I dont have problems with any vendor as long as they are respectful and are pretty much selling things that are respectful in itself. No confederate falg bandanas or anything ya know..
