If your in a position to ask then your probably what my kids would describe as "not NDN enough"...a term I find cute and amusing...yeah I know some of you will think thats terrible but deal.

It is a fear quantum. If you are too afraid to go out there and dance with us then you do not have enough NDN in you to come and dance in the first place.
Honestly, I have always heard the MC invite people to come in and dance at one time or another. Anyone can come in on the intertribals, so long as they are not afraid.

Crazywolf,
I'm not afraid to dance. I got plenty of Native Pride. It's just I don't really know anyone who I can talk to about powwows! I haven't been able to go to any. That's why I asked. And I didn't know anything about or heard about intertribals until I started seeing it on this website. Plus I still don't know a whole lot about them. |

Everybody is welcome to come out and dance during Intertribals, as long as they are respectful about it. Don't be hopping around barefoot please..LOL If yer a female, I'd recommend wearing a shawl as well. It's best to watch and learn first, before just rushing out there. Occasionally, at some powwows, the MC will call for people who are new to powwows to come in and dance. This gives newcomers a chance to come out and dance without the fear of offending someone as well.
